Deporte en Mexico

Football, Boxing, Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Wrestling, Bullfighting, and Charreria are the most popular sports in Mexico with Football (soccer) being the most popular followed by boxing. Charreria is a sport made up of different horse-riding events. There are many other sports that are played in Mexico but these are the most popular and are considered "National" sports. They also play racquetball, rugby, tennis, polo, and "Futbol Nortemericano".

Charreada is one of the national sports of Mexico, it is a few horse-riding events. This reminds me of a rodeo common in the Western parts of U.S. . The most common and popular event is the charreada which is a kind of rodeo made by the people of Mexico who wanted to keep the traditions of the charro (horseman or cowboy of Mexico) alive. Honestly I think that the next sport I am going to mention is quite brutal and unnecessary. The Spanish that colonized the Mexico area brought their sport of bullfighting overseas to Mexico, and has been popular there for around 400 years. Their Football (soccer) they have been playing since the early 1920s. The Apertura division begins in the middle of Mexico's summer and ends before the official start of winter. The Clausura division begins during the New Year, and ends in the spring season. The Rest of the sports I have mentioned are well known in the United States and I think that I would be simply saying common knowledge.

Dia de los muertes

The Day of the Dead or "Dia de los Muertes" is a national holiday in Mexico and many other countries recognize similar holidays, but they all have the same meaning to commemorate the people that have died in the past. It is celebrated on November 1st, and November 2nd. The first day is mostly focused on the infants and children that have died in the past being commonly called, "Dia de los inocentes". The second day is more to commemorate the adults that have past away and is referred to as "The Day of the Dead". This holiday originates from Aztecs but many cultures celebrating similar festivals up to 3,000 years ago.

I think that having a special holiday each year commemorating the lives of those we have lost is a good thing, and to be honest I am surprised we don't have a similar holiday in The United States, although some parts of the U.S. do celebrate this holiday but only in the southern/western parts that have a much higher population of Latin-Americans. How they commemorate their dead seems a bit odd to me by bringing the deceased's favorite foods and other candies to their graves or memorials. I would think that flowers would be a bit more fitting but I know that that is only because our cultures are different and that that is a tradition that has been going on for a countless number of years.

Popular cars/brands in Mexico

I found out that in Mexico the Nissan, and the Volkswagen (Chevrolet also does pretty well) car companies are the most successful this is due to a mix of affordability and practicality. They are generally pretty cheap, sometimes they even produce models from earlier years just to make them more affordable, these cars tend to be built sturdy and without some unnecessary luxuries. This makes them much more practical for a more general group of people.

Well another thing that I learned in this article is that Nissan has the most business in Mexico, over Japan and Korea even, I found this very surprising, I mean Mexico seems like such a random "pais," Not only are most of its residents considered "lower class" but I would guess that they would be able to sell more vehicles "en los Estados Unidos," Since we have much more people and on average; more money to buy different kinds of vehicles. A more specific model of Nissan that is doing very well in Mexico is called the "Tsuru" a very big reason of why this car has been so successful over other models is that it is very popular with taxi companies, which if you go to Mexico taxis seem to be all over the place, well I suppose it depends on where you go but Cancun, and "El Ciudad de Mexico" do in face have very many taxis seemingly everywhere. These cars last awhile since they are quite robust and are affordable for the same reasons that other cars do well in Mexico; they lack unnecessary things/luxuries that most Americans Take for granted or they think they "need".
